Creating Custom Jewelry for Your Loved Ones

Wow…. You can do that? The answer is a resounding yes! Yes, they can do that!

Talk about a wow factor! When customer Shaun C came in a couple of months ago with an idea for a ring with which to propose to his beloved girlfriend, Ed McAuley and his team created a ring that would wow her!

The McAuley team loves what they do and the evidence is in their care and attention to detail. They love to create jewelry that will make their customers happy but this particular was extra special.

Shaun brought in diamonds from his grandmother’s original wedding ring set and had a unique idea for a ring that would wow his girlfriend and create a new title for her, fiancé.

The first part of the design process is digital. The client and Ed sit together and talk about what they want and how to create something unique and special. Then the team creates a virtual ring on the special software program. From there the customer comes in, and makes tweaks he needs to get it just right before the jewels become involved.

Once it is perfected on screen and all the stones are selected, then the actual piece of jewelry is created. As you can see from the photo, this one is stunning!

Shaun was so excited to propose to his girlfriend and so proud of the ring he had created for her. The team at McAuley Fine Jewelry not only helped design and create the ring but, owner Ed McAuley had some advice for the young man, based on his experience with his, now-wife of 22 years. “Get on your knee to propose, even if she is a very progressive woman. They have this fantasy of their man on one knee proposing to her.”

We are pleased to report that the proposal and the ring went over well because she said yes!

A favorite part of creating new pieces is that they have significant meaning for the intended recipient.

In just 2 ½ years, The McAuley team has created custom pieces for 2 generations of 2 families in our local area.

Do you have a special piece you would like created for your loved one? Perhaps some stones from generations past. The holiday season is a great time to have these custom pieces gifted to your loved ones. Now is the time to get started on that process! Make an appointment today to sit with Ed and create that special piece for the holidays.
